Not only is Sazzy Falak, Asia’s How Do I Look TV Host and makeover guru, one of the region’s most recognised faces of 2015, she has also been on a mission over the last eight weeks to transform and guide the lives of eight lucky fashion ‘victims’ onto a path of style enlightenment. Armed with years of styling knowledge and the wonders of the ZALORA wardrobe, the Malaysian actress and styling guru has not only transformed these lucky ladies but also our Monday night TV (what are we going to watch now?).
It’s safe to say that Falak has carved an illustrious career in the worlds of film and television. In 2006, she was named Best Supporting Actress at the Malaysia Film Festival for her role in Gol & Gincu, garnering critical appraise and a loyal fan-base. Yet, with her all-in-one role as owner, curator and designer of home-grown label Street Fashion by Sazzy Falak, fashion is now clearly her forte — with her brand giving her the opportunity to demonstrate her critical eye for style. The fashion boutique has been both a local and international success, with designs being showcased at the 2013 New York Fashion Week, among others.
Her huge and very loyal social following (over 333K followers on Instagram and 518K on twitter) has made her one of Malaysia’s most followed celebrities on social media.
We steal five minutes with Sazzy while on-set at ZALORA Magazine’s photoshoot to find out why her mum inspires her so much, how she got into styling and why she truly believes it’s ok to put yourself first!
